Chat & Chew

Chat & Chew is a salon-style dinner series where New York’s sharpest minds, power players, and culture-shapers come together for intimate, unfiltered conversations about the issues that matter most. A couple of topics we’ve previously covered at venues around the city include American Democracy and the Institutions that Sustain it, Post-Election Decompress: How are you processing the election? and the upcoming What’s Love Got To Do With it? We believe in connection over escapism—because let’s be real, ignoring the chaos won’t make it go away.

What’s Love Got To Do With It?

Join Marcus & Laura and celebrate surviving January with good food, strong drinks, and the kind of unfiltered conversation you won’t find on a Hallmark card.

This month’s Chat & Chew: What’s Love Got To Do With It? is all about relationships. Whether you’re swooning, swiping, or side-eyeing, bring a friend and join us for a night of candid chat and chew-worthy bites.

Fee: $50 (covers food & drinks—because love may be free, but dinner ain't)

RSVP HERE

Come for the conversation, stay for the connection and cocktails. Hope to see you there!

xoxo,

Marcus & Laura

P.S. For those looking to give back, Marcus is organizing a volunteer shift with the All Angels’ Unhoused Neighbors program to serve dinner on a Sunday evening in March (5:30–7:30 PM). If you’re interested, let us know by signing up here—we’d love to have you!

Post-Election Decompress: How are you processing the election?

Well, it happened. The 2024 elections.

So, we’re hitting pause on our death-themed discussion (for now) and inviting you to join us for some post-election decompression.

Think of it as a little friend therapy—space to share, vent, or just indulge in some delicious food and drink while we process what’s next. Or not. No pressure—just good vibes, great company, and your favorite hosts, Marcus & Laura.

Come as you are, ready to talk, eat, or simply unwind.

American Democracy (and the institutions that sustain it)

On September 11, 2024 - the day after the Presidential Debate - a group of New York intellects got together to discuss the American Democracy (and the institutions that sustain it). We could have been there ALL night. So many different perspectives were shared and Marcus did a deep dive into the history of America’s politics, and facilitated invaluable dialogue amongst New York’s best of the best at Harlem Wine Gallery. We need to host a Part II as we didn’t get through a third of the agenda that Marcus created.
